How to Install and Uninstall License SDK

Arcserve products install License SDK with every release. You can manually reinstall, upgrade or uninstall.

To install or upgrade License SDK, follow these steps:

1. Close all Arcserve applications and stop all Arcserve product services running on your system.
2. Verify that lic98.dll or lic98_64.dll is not in use.
3. Perform either one of the below
   • For Arcserve Backup: Mount Arcserve Backup iso and navigate to the folder \IntelNT\LICENSE.
   • For Arcserve UDP: Navigate to below UDP installation path in UDP Console machine
   • X:\Program Files\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Management\Deployment\D2D\IntelNT\LICENSE
4. Run BaseLicInst.exe.
5. Copy and Replace lic_comp_codes.dat from \IntelNT\LICENSE to C:\Program Files (x86)\Arcserve\SharedComponents\CA_LIC

To uninstall License SDK, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Arcserve\SharedComponents\CA_LIC folder
2. Extract files of lic98_uninstaller.zip from C:\Program Files (x86)\Arcserve\SharedComponents\CA_LIC
3. Run rmlicense.bat to uninstall the license sdk

of
