Configure Windows Security Setting Option

To make sure a Windows user with a blank password will not fail to log on to Arcserve Backup, you must configure a Windows Security Setting Option.

To configure windows security setting option

  1. From the Start menu select Control Panel.
  2. The Control Panel opens.
  3. Select Administrative Tools.
  4. The Administrative Tools dialog opens.
  5. Select Local Security Policy.
  6. The Local Security Policy dialog opens.
  7. Double-click the Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only option.
  8. Select Disable and click OK.
  9. The Windows Security Setting Option is configured to accept blank passwords.
