Start Arcserve Replication
Arcserve Replication is a data protection solution that uses asynchronous real-time replication to provide disaster recovery capabilities. This host-based software provides continuous data replication that transfers changes to application data as they occur to a standby replica server located locally or over the Wide Area Network (WAN).
If Arcserve Replication is not installed locally in your backup environment, you can specify the server name and port number to connect the remote Arcserve Replication server, or you can download and install Arcserve Replication.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Arcserve Backup Manager Console.
- One of the following events occurs:
- If Arcserve Replication is not installed on the backup server, the Arcserve Replication Server Information dialog opens. From the Arcserve Replication Server Information dialog, you can log into a remote Arcserve Replication server, or download and install Arcserve Replication.
- If Arcserve Replication is installed on the backup server, the Log into Arcserve Replication screen opens.
- On the Log into Arcserve Replication screen, complete the following fields:
- Domain--Specify the name of the Arcserve Replication domain
- User Name--Specify the User name required to log into the Arcserve Replication domain.
- Password--Specify the password for the Arcserve Replication user name.
- Click Log in.
- Arcserve Replication opens.
