Submit an On-Demand Synthetic Full Backup

When you submit a synthetic full backup job with the Enable Point in Time Restore option selected, you can submit an on-demand synthetic full backup job to synthesize incremental sessions and their full session to a new full session even though it is not a scheduled synthetic full backup day.

To submit an on-demand synthetic full backup

1. Open the Job Status Manager and click the Job Queue tab.
2. Right-click the synthetic job that you want to run immediately and select Synthesize Now.
3. The synthetic job is submitted.
