Execute a Job Using a Script

You can execute almost any type of job using a script. A script is a set of Arcserve Backup instructions that let you execute jobs.

To execute a job using a script

  1. Open the Job Status Manager and select the Job Queue tab.
  2. Click Load on the toolbar.
  3. The Add Job dialog opens.
  4. Browse to and select the script for the job that you want to execute.
  5. Click Open.
  6. The Select a Server dialog opens.
  7. From the drop-down list, select the server from which you want the job to execute.
  8. Click the Submit on Hold option to submit the job in a Hold status.
  9. Note: The Submit on Hold option is selected by default.
  10. Click OK.
  11. The job information for the previously saved script will be displayed in the Job Queue as a new job.
