Configure the Documentation Location

The documentation can be configured so that you can view the online help and PDF's from either online or from a local machine. By default, the documentation is accessed online.

To configure the documentation location:

  1. Click Start, Programs, Arcserve, Arcserve Backup, Documentation Configuration.
  2. The Documentation Configuration dialog opens.
  3. Select one of the following options:
    • Use online Help as source--select this option to access the documentation from Arcserve Support and receive the latest documentation updates.
    • Use local Help as source--select this option if you want to use a local version of the downloaded documentation or if you do not have an internet connection.
    • Important: If you select this option, you must first download the bookshelf to a local directory. Then you must enter a valid help location or click Browse to locate a valid location in the Help Location field. This location must contain the file Bookshelf.html.

  4. Click Open Help to test the documentation help location.
  5. If you selected the Use online Help as source option, then the bookshelf will open on Arcserve Support.
  6. If you selected the Use local Help as source option, then the bookshelf will open from the local help location specified above.
  7. Click OK.
  8. The documentation is configured.
