Slots Indicate Dismounted When Initializing the Library
Valid on Windows platforms.
Symptom
The library does initialize properly and the slots indicate dismounted.
Solution
If the library is initialized and all of the library slots indicate dismounted, perform the following corrective actions:
- Check whether the library door is open. If it is, close it. Check the Arcserve Backup Activity log for error messages.
- The library may be full. The maximum number of media a library can hold is equal to the number of library slots it has. If the library magazine is completely filled with media, make sure that the library drives do not contain media too.
- Note: This may also be a hardware problem.
