Error E3845

The deduplication device cannot be backed up without the Agent for Open Files (with license) and VSS support.

Reason:

Deduplication device files must be backed up using the Agent for Open Files. If the system does not have the Agent for Open Files installed and licensed or if VSS is disabled, the backup job will fail.

Action:

1. Make sure the Agent for Open Files is installed and licensed.
2. Make sure that your system is Windows 2003 or later which has VSS support.
3. VSS should be enabled and running without any problems.
