Reason:

An internal error has occurred that prevented the Writer from being backed up.

Action:

The message occurs when a specific problem with an application or operating systems occurs. As a best practice, you should try to solve the problem directly from the application or operating system that caused the problem. To correct the problem, do the following:

  1. Restart the VSS service or computer and then resubmit the job.
  2. If the problem persists, you can identify the application that caused the problem by reviewing the application logs in Windows Event Viewer. After you identify the application that caused the problem, correct the problem, and then resubmit the job.
