Error AE0580

Failed to backup Virtual Machine [VM Hostname] on ESX/VC server [ESX/VC Hostname]. For more information refer backup job log available in the log folder under the client agent installation directory.

Reason:

Virtual Machine Backup job might fail because of multiple reasons.

  1. Failed to create snapshot on the ESX/VC server.
  2. Failed to initialize the Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) library on proxy machine.
  3. ESX/VC server is not reachable.
  4. There may be a problem with Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK).

Action:

Check the backup job log available in the log folder under the client agent installation directory for the exact reason.
