Reason::
The process of enabling change block tracking can fail due to the following reasons:
- The ESX Server system is not reachable.
- The Virtual Machine contains one or more snapshots.
- The Virtual Machine is busy.
Action::
To correct the problem, try the following:
- Verify that the ESX Server system and the virtual machine can communicate with each other.
- Delete the snapshots of the virtual machine.
