Agent for Virtual Machines

Reason:

For VMware Virtual Machines:

  1. VMware does not provide used block bitmaps for the disk.
  2. This issue is expected behavior for VMs that reside on NFS data store. Full disk including unused blocked bitmaps are backed up.

For Hyper-V Virtual Machines:
Backing up used block data for a hyper-V virtual machine is not supported for a fixed virtual disk.

Action:

Reset changed block tracking. For information about how to reset changed block tracking, see the following VMware Knowledge Base article: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1020128.

Note: The agent resets changed block tracking (CBT) automatically only if the virtual machine does not contain preexisting snapshots. This feature is available when the Agent for Virtual Machines r16.5 Update 2 or later is installed and running on the virtual machines that you are protecting.
