Failed to connect to the database. (Database=[SID])

Reason:

The connection to the database failed because of one of the following reasons:

  1. Windows Service for database [SID] does not exist.
  2. Windows Service for database [SID] does not start.
  3. The database [SID] is shutdown.

Action:

  1. Verify that the service ""OracleService[SID]"" exists.
  2. Verify that the service ""OracleService[SID]"" started.
  3. Verify that the database [SID] is not shutdown. It should be nomount, mount, or open.
