Agent for IBM Informix
Reason:
The Agent for IBM Informix is unable to get the job request from the Arcserve Backup server. This could be for the following reasons:
- Improper connection between Arcserve Backup server and the Agent for IBM Informix.
- Receive process from the Arcserve Backup server failed.
- An internal error has occurred.
Action:
If you are using a remote agent, check if the communication is normal.
For more information, check the following logs:
Arcserve Backup server logs:
- date.joblog.jobID (if cprocess debug mode is enabled )
- ARCserve.log
Note: The ARCserve.log is not generated automatically. To create the ARCserve.log, you need to run the following script: “ca_log –view Activity.log > ARCserve.log” to dump the contents of the Activity.log into this newly-created ARCserve.log file.
Agent for IBM Informix logs:
- onbarcmd.log
