Add a Job Script to the Queue

You can quickly submit a job to the queue by using a previously saved script. A script is a job that you saved to a file. It contains the original source, destination, option, and schedule information for the job.

To add a job to the job queue:

1. From the Job Queue window, click Add Job.

   The Add Job dialog opens.

2. Select the filename for the script you want to submit to the queue. (The Arcserve Backup job script has a default file type of *.asx.)

   The script that you select is added to the job queue.

Saving Job Scripts

You can save job scripts in the following ways:

• From the Front-End (the manager *.asx)

  Note: The ASX script file is a binary file generated on Windows that cannot be used in NetWare.

• From the Back-End (the server console *.asx)

Because the scripts are saved with different extensions, you must use and load the script with the same method that you created it.
