This option allows you to compare the contents of a media session to files on a machine.
Results of the Compare Media job can be seen in the Job Queue (by clicking the Log tab).
Use the Log tab in the Options dialog to select the level of detail you see in the Job Queue Log. You can select to see just summary information and any errors that occurred during the scan, or you can create a report that lists each file that was compared and indicates if there is any difference in the file name, size, date, time, or attributes.
Why would you use the Compare Media option?
You could use this option after a backup to verify that the backup copied all of the files to media without error.
