Image Backup Options Dialog
The Image Backup Options dialog lets you enable Image backups on the selected computer, and to specify options that dictate how the backup should take place on the selected computer.
Volume-specific options can also be specified by right-clicking the volume in the Source tree and selecting Use Image Backup Option from the pop-up menu.
Available Options
The following options are available:
- Enable Image Backup for this drive/volume--Enables Image backups on the selected computer. If you do not select this check box, the following options will be unavailable.
- Enable file level restore--When this option is selected, you may restore individual files on a volume. If you enable this option, the Add File Records to Database option becomes available.
- Add File Records to Database--When this option is selected, the Image Option writes the backup to the Arcserve Backup database during the backup process. If this option is not selected, no details about the backup are written to the database.
Select only one of the following options to indicate how the option handles a failed volume freeze:
- Fail backup immediately--The option stops the backup process.
- Continue with backup--The option continues the backup process.
- Retry specified number of times then fail backup--The option attempts to continue the backup for a preset number of times before failing the backup. When you select this option, the following options become available:
- Number of retries--Select the number of times that the option attempts to complete the backup.
- Interval between retries (mins)--Select the number of minutes that the option waits after a failed backup attempt.
