Organize Dialog

Use this dialog to change how and what information gets displayed in the Activity Log.

Filtering by Message Type

The options in the Using Filters section of the dialog allow you to choose what kind of information is displayed in the Activity Log. Use the check boxes in this section to choose the types of messages that are displayed in the Activity Log.

Show Errors--Select this check box to have Arcserve Backup display Errors in the Activity Log.
Show Warnings--Select this check box to have Arcserve Backup display Warnings in the Activity Log.
Show Information--Select this check box to have Arcserve Backup display Information messages in the Activity Log.

Filtering by Message Date

Select one of the options from the drop-down menu to filter the messages that are displayed in the Activity Log according to the date they were issued.

Show All Messages--All messages are displayed.
Show Messages Before--Only those messages that were issued before the date indicated in the drop-down box are displayed.
Show Messages After--Only those messages that were issued after the date indicated in the drop-down box are displayed.
Show Messages Between--Only those messages that were issued between the two dates indicated in the drop-down box are displayed.
Show Messages for Last--Only those messages that were issued in the past n number of days (where n is the number in the Days text box) are displayed. Valid values are from 1 to 999.

Organizing the Activity Log

The Using Message Grouping and Using Message Post Date options allow you to choose how information is displayed in the Activity Log.

Using Message Grouping--Select this check box and the appropriate radio button to have the messages in the Activity Log grouped by job, type, or category (Device Management only). If you do not select this option, messages in the log are grouped according to the time they were issued.
Using Message Post Date--Use the radio buttons in this section to choose whether the newest or the oldest messages are displayed first. By default, the most recent messages appear at the top of the Activity Log.
