If you are having trouble with one particular storage device, remove all other devices from the chain so you are working with just the one device. Make sure the SCSI chain is terminated properly after you make these hardware changes.
The storage device may not be an available device on the SCSI bus, one way to rectify this would be to turn the storage device off and on.
