Media Maintenance Tasks

You can perform the following maintenance tasks on your media:

• Format media
• Erase media
• Retension media
• Compress data on media (available only if the storage device supports media compression)
• Eject media (only available if the storage device supports media ejection)
• Rebuild media (RAID only)
• Scan Devices

Important! Before you use these options, especially the destructive ones (format and erase), make sure you have the right media selected.
