Change the Server Status Manually

If you want the Arcserve Backup Server started only when specified, keep or change each Arcserve Backup server module's startup method to Manual. Now, the only time the engine is started is when you specifically start it.

Once you highlight a Arcserve Backup Server module in the Services dialog, certain buttons become active depending on the state of the engine:

• If the engine is not running, the Start button becomes active. Click it to start the engine.
• If the engine is running, the Stop button is active. Click Stop to stop the engine from running.
• If the engine is paused, the Resume button becomes Active. Click this button to resume activity by the engine.
