Search for Files to Restore

To use the Search feature, perform the following procedure:

1. Click Search.

   The Search dialog appears.

2. Enter the search criteria and click Find.

   You can be as specific or general with your search pattern as you want. Use an asterisk (*) as the wildcard symbol, as necessary. Arcserve Backup searches its database, and, if found, displays information that matches the search pattern you specified.

3. Highlight the file you want and click Go To.

   The Search dialog closes and the Restore Manager reappears, as Arcserve Backup expands the directory tree and highlights the file. At this point, you can select it for restore.
