Tape Driver Does Not Load

When loading the Tape Server, use a special parameter that allows you to track all SCSI commands being sent to the device over the SCSI bus. To load the Tape Server with this feature enabled, perform the following steps:

1. Edit the following:

   	CA ARCserveBackup.6\ASCONFIG.INI
   

2. Find the line that ends with TAPESVR
3. Change this to read TAPESVR VERFILE

This creates, or appends information to, a file in the Arcserve Backup home directory called TAPESVR.LOG. All SCSI commands sent over the bus, and all responses received from the devices, are written to this file. Send this file to Arcserve to help track down the problem.
