Begin with this tab, even if you want to schedule the device job to run later.

Slot |
Select the slot that contains the media you want to format. |

New Media Name |
Enter a name for the media. |
|
Expiration Date |
Specify a date when the media should be retired. |
|
Use Rotation |
Select this option to use a media rotation scheme. |
|
Media Pool |
Select a Media Pool for your media rotation. |
|
Serial# |
A serial number is generated for the media when you select a media pool, but you can enter your own serial number for this media. |
|
Apply to all |
Use this button to apply the same settings to all selected slots (media) in the Format dialog. The options set for all slots are Use Rotation and Media Pool. |

OK |
Click this button to run the device job. |

Cancel: |
Click this button to exit the dialog without running the device job. |
Schedule
Use this tab if you want to schedule the device job to run later.

Click this button to run the device job later. |

When Do You Want to Run the Device Job? |
Specify the date and time that you want to run the device job. Default is current time and date. |

OK |
Click this button to schedule the device job. |

Cancel |
Click this button to exit the dialog without scheduling the device job. |
