Set Access Permission on Dump Location

The accounts in the following table can access the shared folder:

Account	Dump Location Access Permission for Backup	Dump Location Access Permission for Restore
Database server's SQL Account	All permissions except Full Control	Read permission
The Timer service account	All permissions except Full Control	Read permission
Central Administrator pool account	All permissions except Full Control	All permissions except Full Control

If the database server's SQL account is on a Local system, you must grant the required permission to the SQL server computer. If you want to know who has been assigned permissions to the shared folder, open the Backup Manager, select the account, and then check the list of users who have permission to the shared folder.
