ca_auth コマンドの構文例は以下のとおりです。

以下のコマンドは、caroot ユーザのパスワードを変更します。

ca_auth -user chgpasswd caroot [passwd]
```
以下のコマンドは、ユーザを追加します。

ca_auth -user add username [passwd]
```
以下のコマンドは、ユーザを削除します。

ca_auth -user delete username
```
以下のコマンドは、ユーザおよび関連するパスワードを検証します。

ca_auth -user validate username [password]
```
以下のコマンドは、ユーザ（管理者）およびパスワード（caroot）を追加します。

ca_auth -user add administrator caroot
```
注：非エコーモードで管理者のパスワード入力を求められます。
以下のコマンドは、すべての CA ARCserve Backup ユーザのリストを表示できます。
```
ca_auth -user getall
```
以下のコマンドは、CA ARCserve Backup Domain Server である DOMAIN に対してcaroot と同等の権限を持つ Windows ユーザ（管理者）を追加します。ユーザ名はcaroot、パスワードはccbです。

ca_auth 同等の例

以下のコマンドは、同等アカウントを設定します。

```
たとえば、マシン dev02-vir2 の管理者に同等アカウントを追加する場合：

ca_auth -equiv add Administrator dev02-vir2 'caroot' 'caroot password'

以下のコマンドは、ログインする際に使用したユーザの同等アカウントを表示します。

ca_auth -equiv getequiv
```
