This option allows you to delete files and directories from a machine. (Using filters, you can include or exclude files to be deleted.)
Results of the Purge job can be seen in the Job Queue (by clicking the Log tab).
Use the Log tab in the Options dialog to select the level of detail you see in the Job Queue Log. You can select to see just totals and any errors that occurred or you can create a report that lists each file and directory that was deleted.
Important! This utility does not delete records from the Backup database; it deletes the actual files from the file systems on the machines where they reside.
