Use the Restore by Query source view to restore files when you know the name of the file or directory you want to restore, but do not know the machine it was backed up from or the media it was backed up to.
Restore by query is not a case-sensitive operation.
This view also uses the Arcserve Backup database. As long as the file and directory information is logged in the database, you can effectively use this view to select files to restore.
