Specifying Pre/Post Commands

Arcserve Backup allows you to specify pre/post commands that are run immediately before and/or after your data is backed up to media. You can specify pre/post commands:

• For the entire backup job: These commands are executed at the beginning or end of the job.
• For a selected machine: These commands are executed before and/or after the data from the selected machine is backed up.

If you specify pre/post commands for the entire job, as well as for machines in the job, the global pre/post commands are executed before/after the job starts/ends and local commands are executed when the selected machine is backed up.
