Error E1516

Unable to query database. (EC=<Error Code>)

Job Engine

Reason:

The Job Engine failed to query the Database. This would happen because

• The Database was not running at that moment.
• The Database was on a remote host and was unavailable at that moment.
• Check if the CPU utilization is very high (close to 100%).
• An internal error.

Action:

Because of this error, staging related jobs might have problems. To resolve the problem,

1. Check if the Arcserve Backup Database engine is running. If not, start the Database engine.
2. If the Arcserve Backup Database is on a remote host, check if the remote host is reachable. And if available, check if the Database engine is running on the machine. If not, verify the remote host is reachable and the Arcserve Backup Database engine is running.
3. Use the Diagnostic Wizard to gather information for the following logs, which are located in the Arcserve Backup installation path \ LOG directory:
   • JobQueue.log
   • CADBLog.log
