Unable to add session physical information to database. (EC=<Error Code>)

Task

Reason:

Because of an internal error, Arcserve Backup failed to insert the physical path and virtual path of the session information into the Database.

Action:

Check if the database engine is still running. Verify the server which hosts the Database is reachable and also verify that the Database services are up and running.

Ensure the following log files are available from the Arcserve Backup installation path \LOG directory:

• JobQueue.log
• TAPE.LOG
• ARCserve.log

  Note: The ARCserve.log is not generated automatically. To create the ARCserve.log, you need to run the following script: “ca_log –view Activity.log > ARCserve.log” to dump the contents of the Activity.log into this newly-created ARCserve.log file.
