Failed to get the VM configuration from the database. (VM=[VM name])

Task

Reason:

The VM information is not complete or is missing from the database.

There is a database problem indicating that the Arcserve Backup backend is unable to retrieve the VM information from the database.

Action:

Repopulate the database by performing the steps below from the VMware Proxy if it is a VMware VM or the Hyper-V host if it is a Hyper-V VM.

1. Open Backup Agent Admin. (click Start, Programs, Arcserve, Arcserve Backup, and click Backup Agent Admin.)
2. From the drop-down list, select Arcserve Backup Agent for Virtual Machines and click Configuration on the toolbar.
3. Complete the required fields.
4. Click Execute.
