Unable to get the staging session information from the database. (JobID=<Job ID>, Session=<Session No>, EC = <Error Code>)

Reason:

Arcserve Backup could not get the staging information from the Database because of an internal error.

Action:

Check if the database engine is still running. Make sure the server which hosts the Database is reachable and also make sure that the Database services are up and running.

Ensure the following log files are available from the Arcserve Backup installation path \LOG directory:

• JobQueue.log
• TAPE.LOG
• ARCserve.log

  Note: The ARCserve.log is not generated automatically. To create the ARCserve.log, you need to run the following script: “ca_log –view Activity.log > ARCserve.log” to dump the contents of the Activity.log into this newly-created ARCserve.log file.
