Reason:

This error message indicates that Arcserve Backup lost the connection to the NDMP server unexpectedly. The connection may have been lost if the NDMP server is no longer running or if the connections have been deleted from the filer.

Action:

To address this error message, perform the following steps:

  1. Shut down the Arcserve Backup Tape Engine.
  2. Clean up any hanging connections on the filer.
  3. Restart the Tape Engine.
