Agent for Virtual Machines
Reason:
- The proxy and virtual machine running different versions of the VM agent.
- The Universal Agent service on the VM has stopped.
- The Virtual Machine is powered off or unavailable.
- The IP address of the VM has changed from the time when the last Arcserve Backup database updated.
Action:
To ensure that you have connection to the VM Agent, perform one of the following options:
- Confirm that the agents running on the virtual machines and the proxy server are of the same build.
- Specify the Arcserve Backup server using the Agent Admin and restart the Arcserve Universal Agent service.
- Confirm that the virtual machine is powered on and restart the Arcserve Universal Agent service.
