Reason:

The member server's domain configuration is not the same as the Primary server's domain configuration.

Action:

To fix this problem, verify the following:

• The Primary server should be resolvable from this local machine. Use ping <primary machine name> to check the status of the Primary server.
• The Primary server Arcserve Backup Services should be started.
• The ARCserve_HOME\config\discovery.cfg file should match with the Primary server copy of the same file.
