Begin with this tab, even if you want to schedule the media erase job to run later.

Slot |
Select the slot that contains the media you want to erase. |

Quick Erase |
Select this option to erase the media label. A Quick Erase takes much less time than a Long Erase. |

Quick Erase Plus |
Erase the media label and serial number. |
|
Long Erase |
Select this option to remove the data on the media completely. After a Long Erase, the media is considered blank, as if it were just formatted. |
|
Quick Erase and convert to WORM |
This option quickly erases all data from the media. In addition, Arcserve Backup converts the media to Write Once - Read Many (WORM) media. To use this option, Arcserve Backup must detect DLTWORM capable media in the library or in a stand-alone drive. |

Use this tab if you want to schedule the media erase job to run later.

When Do You Want to Run the Device Job? |
Specify the date and time that you want to run the media erase job. Default is current time and date. |
