View Media Pool Information

You can view information about existing media pools with the Media Pool Manager screen.

To view media pool information, perform the following procedure:

1. Click Media Pool Management in Quick Access or select Media Pool from the Manager menu.

   The Media Pool Manager screen appears, displaying the icons for the existing media pools in the left pane.

2. Expand the view of the media pool you want to examine by double-clicking on its icon.

   The Save Set and Scratch Set icons for selected media pool appear.

3. To view information about a set, select the set.

   Information about the set appears in the right pane under the category tab.

   • Save Set information includes:

     Pool name

     Minimum # if Media

     Retention Time (Days)

     Current Number of Media

   • Scratch Set information includes:

     Pool Name

     Current Number of Media

4. To view the media in the:
   • Save Set--Double-click the Save Set icon.
   • Scratch Set--Double-click the Scratch Set icon.

   The media icons for all the media in the selected set appear.

5. To view information about selected media, click the Component tab.

   Information about the media appears in the right pane, including:

   • Pool name
   • Media Name
   • Random ID
   • Sequence No.
   • Serial Number
   • Expiration Date
   • Backup Method
   • Set Status
   • Media Status
   • Offsite Location
   • Date Sent
