Welcome to the CA ARCserve Central Applications r16.5 Update 2 Release Notes file. This Release Notes file contains important information about Update 2.
Update 2 includes the following enhancements and modifications to improve the quality and performance of CA ARCserve Central Applications.
This release also includes solutions to problems that were detected in previous releases of CA ARCserve Central Applications. For more information, see Issues Fixed.
Note: To support VMware Compatibility, it is required to install VIX 1.13 on the Virtual Standby and Host-Based VM Backup proxies.
Before you install this update, verify that the following applications, as appropriate, are installed:

CA ARCserve Central Applications r16.5 Update 2 contains the following installation files:

There are two methods that you can use to install Update 2.
To install Update 2 using the update utility from the Home Page, follow these steps:
To install Update 2 manually, download and install the installation media listed below.

When a policy is created in CA ARCserve Central Protection Manager with Amazon S3 as the cloud destination set in the File Copy settings, the bucket name created in the cloud will not have a prefix after the policy is assigned to each CA ARCserve D2D machine. This issue will cause one CA ARCserve D2D machine to copy the data to the same bucket and overwrite the other one. |

When scheduling an email or filtering the report settings with Last 1 Day from the CA ARCserve Central Reporting dashboard, the Virtualization Protection Status report returns an empty report. |

WIN-LAST SYNC WAS OVER 48 HOURS |
"Last sync was performed over 48 hours ago" is displayed as the status even when the schedule for the CA ARCserve Backup Sync was set to run every morning. |

WIN-LAST CONVERSION TIME NOT UPDATED |
CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby Last Conversion Time is not updated even when there are more recent conversion jobs available. |

WIN-SCHEDULED REPORT SEND TIME INCORRECT WHEN DST |
CA ARCserve Central Reporting scheduled reports are sent incorrectly when DST is in effect. For example, a scheduled report is sent at 9:00 AM, then after the DST change, the report is then sent at 10:00 AM. Note: It is required to restart the CA ARCserve Central Protection Manager service after the DST change. |

After performing a virtual standby conversion, the virtual machine cannot start and receives a blue screen with an error code of 0x7B which is when a driver is needed for the SCSI disk on the source machine. |
