Recovery Point Server (RPS)/Data Store Related
- Unable to merge recovery points when a data store is created on a remote path before upgrading to Arcserve UDP 9.2.
- Symptom
- When you create a local datastore on a remote path before upgrading to Arcserve UDP 9.2 and perform the merge operation, the merge fails.
- Solution
- As a workaround, modify the data store to connect all the remote paths with the existing password, and then merge sources.
- To modify the data store, do the following:
- On the Protect screen, under Destinations, click Data Store.
- For the data store you want to modify, click the Action drop-down list, and then select Modify Local Datastore.
- The Modify a Data Store dialog appears.
- For all the remote paths (Backup path, Data Destination path, Index Destination path, and Hash Destination path), do the following, and then click Save:
- Click Connect.
- On the Connect screen, type the username and password of the corresponding hostname, and then click OK.
- On the Browse dialog, navigate to the folder location, and then click Select.
- From the list of data stores, click the Action drop-down list, and then select Browse Recovery Points.
- On the Browse Recovery Points screen, select the sources, click the Action drop-down list, and then click Merge Now.
- The Run a Merge now dialog opens and displays the sources with the recovery points for the merge.
