How to Install and Upgrade Agent
This section provides information about how to install and upgrade the agent.
Follow these steps:
- Log into Arcserve Cloud Console.
- Navigate to Protect > Sources > Machines.
- The list of machines displays on the center pane.
- From the Action drop-down list of a machine for which you want to install and upgrade agent, click Install and Upgrade Agent.
- The Installation and Upgrade dialog appears.
- For Installation Location, the installation path of the prior version of agent displays by default. If you want to change the installation path, you can provide the new installation path.
- For Port, type the port number. The default Port number is 8014.
- For Protocol, select HTTP or HTTPS as needed. The default protocol is HTTPS.
- Notes:
- By default, the Install Agent Change Tracking Driver check box is selected.
- The Agent Change Tracking Driver is required if you want to perform backup of the current system. However, it is not required if the current system is used as virtual standby monitor or as a host based VM backup proxy.
- For Start Time to Install or Upgrade, select one of the following:
- Run Immediately: Starts the installation and upgrade immediately.
- Run at: Starts the installation and upgrade at a scheduled date and time. You can choose the date and time as needed.
- Click Save.
- The agent is installed and upgraded successfully.
- Note: To deploy multiple agents, select the sources as needed, and then select Install and Upgrade Agent from the Actions drop-down list on top of the screen.
