Add an Assured Security - AI Anomaly Detection Task to a Policy
The Assured Security - AI Anomaly detection feature uses artificial intelligence to analyze data and identify records that deviate from normal behavior patterns. It examines backup recovery points and detects unusual activities, such as suspicious file names, encryption patterns, mass deletions, renames, and so on.
The AI-powered Anomaly Detection feature uses intelligent behavioral analysis of backup data to identify potential risks and insider threats.
This feature allows you to do the following:
- Seamlessly Integrate: Functions as a configurable secondary task, integrating directly into existing backup workflows.
- Provide Early Warning: Offers advance notice of malicious activities such as mass file deletions, bulk renaming operations, and encryption patterns that may indicate potential data anomalies.
- Establish Baseline Intelligence: Uses AI algorithms to establish normal behavioral patterns for different system types, ensuring accurate detection of deviations.
- Enable Informed Recovery: Automatically flags affected recovery points and generates comprehensive anomaly reports, allowing administrators to make confident data restoration decisions while preventing the spread of compromised data.
Notes:
- The Assured Security - AI Anomaly Detection is supported only for Windows and UNC/NFS nodes.
- The Assured Security - AI Anomaly detection is not supported on Windows Server 2008 R2 or earlier versions.
You can add the Assured Security - AI Anomaly Detection task for the following backup tasks:
- Agent-based Windows Backup
- UNC/NFS Backup to RPS
- Agentless VM Backup
- Copy from remotely-managed RPS
