Add an Assured Security Scan Task to a Policy

The Assured Security Scan allows you to scan the backup or copy data in recovery points for any malware or malicious files. This feature also warns you about the malicious files in recovery points before restoring. You can run the assured security scan manually or according to the specified schedule.

Notes:

• The Assured Security Scan is supported only for Windows sources.
• When EFS is enabled on the backed up data on source, and you are using the remote Assured Security proxy, the Assured Security job cannot detect the malicious content as the data encrypted with EFS cannot be decrypted into another machine.
• If the files or folders are password protected, the Assured Security job cannot detect the malicious content.

You can run the assured security scan for the following backup tasks:

• Agent-based Windows Backup
• Agentless VM Backup to RPS
• Copy from remotely-managed RPS
• UNC/NFS Backup to RPS
• Oracle Database Backup to RPS
