Migrate Recovery Points from a Data Store to another Data Store
This section provides information about how to migrate recovery points from a data store to another data store on the same Recovery Point Server.
Note: The RPS jumpstart supports migrating a read-only data store to a writable data store or normal data store, but vice-versa is not supported.
Follow these steps:
- On the Protect screen, under Destinations, click Recovery Point Server.
- From the list of recovery point servers, click the Action drop-down list of a recovery point server, and then click RPS Jumpstart.
- The RPS Jumpstart screen appears.
- In the Select RPS Jumpstart Source panel, do the following:
- From the Migrate Recovery Points drop-down list, select From a data store to another data store on the same Recovery Point Server.
- The Source Recovery Point Server is already specified.
- From the Source Data Store drop-down list, select the source data store.
- From the Filter drop-down list, select the plans as needed, or In the Search box, you can also search for the source data store that you want to migrate.
- A list of sources appears.
- From the list of sources, select the sources that you want to migrate.
- Click Next.
- The RPS Jumpstart Target page appears.
- From the Target Data Store drop-down list, select the target data store.
- Notes:
- Target Data Store lists only running data stores.
- Recovery Point Server does not support migrating data from an encrypted data store to a non-encrypted data store, or from a deduplication data store to a non-deduplication data store.
- Click Finish.
- The selected sources get migrated.
