Getting Started with Arcserve Cloud Direct

The getting started with Arcserve Cloud Direct guides you through the simple step-by-step process to understand and use the Cloud Direct.

Arcserve Cloud Direct enables you to do the following:

• Backup data that you want to protect on the local computer or server and securely store it in the Arcserve Cloud.
• Restore back the protected data from the Arcserve Cloud to the local computer or server, whenever necessary.

Follow these steps:

1. Do one of the following:
• If you are a Super Admin, Admin, or Tenant Admin, go to the Protect page.
• If you are an MSP Super Admin, MSP Admin, or MSP Account Admin, go to the Protect page, and then add a customer. From your customer's Action drop-down list, select the View as End-User Admin option, or click the icon.
2. Download the Arcserve Cloud Direct Agent. To download, go to Protect > Sources, and then click the Download Agent option. For more information, see Download Arcserve Cloud Direct Agent.
3. Install the Arcserve Cloud Direct Agent on the system you want to protect. For more information, see Installing the Arcserve Cloud Direct Agent.
4. Register the Arcserve Cloud Direct Agent. For more information, see Registering the Arcserve Cloud Direct Agent.
5. Navigate to Protect > Policies, and create a protection policy. For more information about creating a policy, see Protecting Policies.
