Review the Prerequisites and Considerations

Verify that you have completed the following prerequisite tasks:

• Verify that the Arcserve UDP Agent is installed on the Assured Security proxy server.
• Verify that the Windows defender Antivirus is installed on the Assured Security proxy server.
• The Assured Security Proxy Server must meet the below system requirements:
• Architecture: 64 bit Windows machine. For more information about supported operating systems for Arcserve UDP, see Compatibility Matrix.
• Server: Windows Server 2012 or higher
• CPU: Minimum 4 cores 2.2 GHz or faster processor
• RAM: Minimum 8 GB or higher
• Verify that the VHD file folder path is not compression enabled.
• Verify that the CPULoadFactor must not exceed 25% for the Assured security scan.
• If you want to control or adjust the CPU load on the Assured security scan proxy server, run the following commands from PowerShell:
• set-mppreference -ThrottleForScheduledScanOnly $false
• set-mppreference -DisableCpuThrottleOnIdleScans $false
• set-mppreference -ScanAvgCPULoadFactor <PercentageValue>
• Run Assured Security scan during non-peak hours or during weekends.
• The Assured Security scan relies on the AntiVirus (AV) engine scanning for its performance. We recommend that you do not run any concurrent operations during this task.
