Portal Login credentials are unavailable after upgrading to Arcserve UDP v6.5 Stand-alone Agent

Login credentials are unavailable after Arcserve UDP v6.5 Stand-alone Agent upgrade.

Symptom

Arcserve License Portal login credentials are unavailable after upgrading to Arcserve UDP v6.5 Stand-alone Agent. This issue occurs when you upgrade Arcserve UDP Stand-alone agent from previous versions where you have registered for Product Improvement Program (PIP).

Solution

As a workaround, follow these steps:

  1. Click link and navigate to Arcserve License Portal.
  2. Arcserve License Portal login page appears.
  3. From the login page of Arcserve License Portal, click Forgot Password.
  4. From the Forgot Password page, enter the email address used for PIP registration and click Submit.
  5. Open the email address entered above.
  6. You will receive the Forgot Password email from Arcserve.
  7. From that email, click the link for activation.
  8. You are led to the Arcserve registration page where Create a Password dialog appears with your email already entered.
  9. From Create a Password dialog, enter desired password to create your profile for Arcserve License Portal.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Arcserve License Portal login page opens. You can use the newly created credentials to log into Arcserve License Portal.
