How do I set NFS Quotas?
IT admins have the ability to set hard NFS quotas (at the export level) as well as client access restrictions by IP address or host name. When creating an NFS export, quotas can be set to a usable storage capacity limit. The usable storage is from the client/ application perspective and does not take into account any deduplication or compression data reduction within the OneXafe cluster. For example if the quota is set to 1TB, the application writes 1TB of information that is deduplicated and compressed to 500GB, the application has reached 100% of its quota.
You can change the quota value to be smaller than the current logical used size of the export. When you do that, any file system operation that increases the logical used size for the export will not be allowed.
Additionally, access to an NFS export can have one or client access policies. Client access policy can be by IP address, subnet, or host name.
