How do Users access Restricted Shares when Active Directory is not used?
For customers that select to manage restricted share access may do so by managing users and/or groups directly in OneSystem (see “How do I Limit which Storage Shares Users have Access to—Adding Shares”).
After a share is created and read/write permissions are assigned, users will need to login to the share to access the information. To do so, users simply enter the first part of the email address and the password they created with their OneSystem user account. For example, a user with the email address of john@mycompany.com, will simply use ‘john’ as the user name in conjunction with the OneSystem password.
