Installing the Inner Rail Extension

OneXafe includes a set of inner rails in two sections: inner rails and inner rail extensions. The inner rail extension is attached to the inner rail to mount the OneXafe in the rack.

To install the Inner Rails

1. Place the inner rail extensions on the side of the OneXafe aligning the hooks of the OneXafe with the rail extension holes. Make sure the extension faces "outward" just like the pre-attached inner rail.
2. Slide the extension toward the front of the OneXafe.
3. Secure the OneXafe with 2 screws as illustrated. Repeat steps for the other inner rail extension.
4. Warning: Do not pick up the server with the front handles. They are designed to pull OneXafe from a rack only.

7. Slide rail mounted equipment is not to be used as a shelf or a work space. This is a stability hazard. The rack stabilizing mechanism must be in place, or the rack must be bolted to the floor before you slide the unit out for servicing. Failure to stabilize the rack can cause the rack to tip over.
